About Higher West Barn Farm

Higher West Barn Farm is a tastefully converted set of barns set in the historic Somerset village of Witham Friary.

The farm is nestled in a peaceful valley, well off the beaten track but still within easy reach of some of Somerset's most popular attractions, including the wonderful gardens of Stourhead - which you can see from our gardens - Longleat Safari Park, Wells and Bath.

The rooms are decorated with objet d'art, antiques and watercolours that reflect owner Anne Harrison's love of travelling and the arts.

The farm makes a perfect family getaway - with large rooms and a spacious garden, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and a BBQ area for sunny evening outdoor dining.

You'll share our gardens with our hens, ducks - even a peacock - as well as the abundant bird and animal life that visits us. If you are lucky, you can catch a close-up view of our neighbourhood Roe Deer who like to pay us a visit from time to time!

We are well served for places to eat in the evening, with a number of traditional Somerset pubs and high-quality restaurants on our doorstep.

Our breakfasts are made with locally-sourced organic produce where possible, and we can cater for vegetarians and vegans.
